Body of missing youth found near canal
The Ludhiana (Rural) police have initiated a probe into the recovery of the body of a youth who had gone missing on Tuesday.
The body of the deceased, identified as Tarun Sharma of Jagraon, was recovered near Akhara Bridge on Abohar Canal on Sunday. His motorcycle was recovered from Gurdwara Charanghat.
Sources at Jagraon city police station said the body had been kept at a mortuary at Civil Hospital, Jagraon, and further action would be taken on the basis of initial report of the post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the victim’s kin have alleged that he was killed by some unknown persons.
