The brochure was released by PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, who emphasised the immense potential of mushrooms in transforming agricultural practices while enhancing sustainability, food security, and environmental health.

The brochure highlights the nutritional and market potential of mushrooms and features success stories of innovative growers, processors, and marketers who have integrated mushroom cultivation into their operations with the support of the PAU. Dr Gosal stressed that mushroom farming offered significant opportunities for sustainable agricultural development and was an integral part of the PAU’s efforts to provide communities with resources to excel in its production.

The editorial team for the brochure includes Dr Ramandeep Singh, professor-cum-director of the School of Business Studies; Dr Gagandeep Kaur Nagra, scientist (microbiology) from the Processing and Food Engineering Department; Dr Navneet Kaur Gill, teaching assistant at the School of Business Studies; and Alisha Kaur, a research scholar at the PAU.
