DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, along with Guru Nanak Club, Khalsa Club and BCM Arya Club recorded victories in their respective matches in the girls’ U-14 category in the ongoing Ludhiana District Basketball Tournament for Boys and Girls (U-14 and U-17) being organised by the District Basketball Association, Ludhiana, at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Friday.

DAV Public School outplayed DCM Presidency School 11-8 and Guru Nanak Club outnumbered Baba Ishar Singh School 26-9. In other girls’ matches, Khalsa Club trounced DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road 40-7, BCM Arya Club outplayed Green Land School, Sunder Nagar 18-14 and DAV Public School, BRS Nagar defeated Miri Piri Trust 18-6.

In the boys’ U-14 section, Miri Piri Trust outclassed Green Land School, Jalandhar bypass, 15-5; DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, beat Police DAV School 32-15; Doraha Basketball Academy outwitted DCM Presidency School 24-4 and Sacred heart Club outperformed Miri Piri Trust 15-2. — OC
