Arya College
Ludhiana: Arya College Girls Section organised a patriotic function on the eve of Republic Day. The event began with a march-past, performed by three contingents of students, conveying the message of peace, sacrifice, and prosperity. It was followed by a speech by incharge Dr Mamta Kohli. Patriotic songs that showcased the cultural heritage of India were also sung by students. A pledge-taking ceremony was also held.
BCM College of Education
The Electoral Literacy Club of BCM College of Education organised a function to mark National Voters Day to sensitise students about their right to vote. On this occasion, students took a pledge to uphold the democratic traditions of India and the dignity of free, fair, and peaceful elections. Students prepared posters on the theme “Each Vote Counts,” followed by an exhibition of these.
Malwa Central College
The Red Ribbon Club of Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Ludhiana, under the supervision of Dr Tripta and Dr Sona Thakur, organised an extension lecture on the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan aimed at promoting a drug-free India. Fifty students participated in the event. Resource person Sahil Gupta discussed the harmful effects of drug abuse.
Spring Dale Public School
Spring Dale Public School marked Republic Day with a vibrant celebration that showcased the spirit of patriotism and creativity. Kindergarten students came to the school dressed up like members of the armed forces and in tricolour-themed attire. Their performances on patriotic tunes captivated everyone’s hearts.
RC Jain Innovative Public School
To mark Republic Day, Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative Public School organised a presentation that beautifully captured the essence of India’s Constitution, unity, and patriotism. The event, held at the school’s premises, began with a melodious and soul-stirring song that highlighted the theme of national integrity. After the song, a speech was delivered by students.
Kamla Lohtia SD College
National Voters’ Day was celebrated at Kamla Lohtia SD College, Ludhiana. Young students were motivated to cast their votes and make prudent use of their voting rights as a way to strengthen democracy and accelerate the development of the nation on the occasion. Principal Mohd Saleem discussed the significance of the day.
DCM YES
DCM Young Entrepreneurs School (DCM YES) hosted the grand finale of Ideate Fest 4.0, an annual event dedicated to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students of classes VI-XII across North India. With over 100 participating teams, the event showcased ground-breaking ideas, awarding Rs 1.5 lakh in start-up funding to promising projects. The fest featured a startup exhibition, where student entrepreneurs and local start-ups presented prototypes and business concepts. Business pitching sessions were judged by industry leaders like Keshav Atri (Punjab Angels Network) and Adiraj Ahluwalia (Innovation Mission Punjab).
MGM Public School
Republic Day was celebrated with pride and patriotism at MGM Public School on January 25. The festivities commenced on a musical note. The rhythmic band of the school played a note that reverberated patriotic feelings amongst everyone. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the Tricolour by Principal Ranjana Kaushal. It was followed by an inspiring speech on the significance of the occasion. Director Gajjan Singh Thind asked the students to respect and value the constitution of India.
HVM Global School
HVM Global School marked the 76th Republic Day with a series of activities. The celebrations began with a morning assembly where the school choir presented patriotic songs. Students of the primary classes engaged in craft activities, designing tricolor-themed flags, badges, and other decorative items. Principal Pragati Kapoor said the day was not just a celebration of the nation’s progress, but a reminder of citizens’ responsibilities to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
