Ludhiana: In order to encourage students to read books, Diksha Books organised a three-day book fair at MGM Public School. A plethora of books were displayed during the fair, catering to the myriad tastes of students of different age groups. The fair witnessed widespread participation, showing the love people have for books in the digital world. Students relished reading books of varying genres. They comprehended the significance of books and the repository of knowledge that books contain. School Director Gajjan Singh Thind graced the event with his presence. Principal Ranjana Kaushal urged students to inculcate the habit of reading in their lifestyle to gain more knowledge.

Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, added another feather to its cap by winning accolades at the 38th AIU Inter-University North Zone Youth Festival held in Chandigarh from February 1 to 5, under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Rupali Sharma, a student of BSc-II non-medical, brought laurels to the college by participating in the mimicry event. She secured the second place in the competition. College managing committee director Dr Mukti Gill and Principal Dr Kamaljit Grewal congratulated Rupali and motivated her to scale new heights. They further applauded the efforts of the staff members and her mentors.
