Ludhiana: The NSS unit of Arya College organised an awareness programme to mark Constitution Day. Students were motivated to recite the Preamble of Constitution. The programme was aimed at making students familiar with the ideals of the Constitution. The students also took an oath to respect and abide by the Constitution. Dr SM Sharma, Secretary, ACMC, appreciated the NSS unit for spreading awareness about Constitution. Principal Suksham Ahluwalia motivated the students to follow the ideals enshrined in Constitution. Dr Mandeep Singh and Dr Nidhi Aggarwal, programme officers of the NSS unit, said Constitution was the supreme law of the country and all citizens should respect it.

DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, organised the annual day celebration, ‘Cultural Fiesta’, of Class IV on its campus on Friday. As many as 250 students took part in the celebrations. The function began with the lighting of ceremonial lamp, followed by a bhajan. A cultural show promoting “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” was highlight of the event. Students presented dance forms of different states.

Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, hosted a two-day CBSE capacity building programme on joyful mathematics. As many as 54 mathematics teachers from various schools across Ludhiana took part in the event, organised by COE, Chandigarh. Resource persons Ashish Kumar from Kundan Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School and Rajiv Budhraja from MGN Public School, Jalandhar, conducted the programme. The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance teachers’ proficiency in teaching mathematics through practical methodologies and align their skills with CBSE’s emphasis on holistic and experiential learning. The sessions focused on fostering creativity and innovation in mathematics education, making the subject more accessible and enjoyable for students.

SCD Government College

Balroop Singh, an educator, a poet and an author from California, visited her alma mater - SCD Government College here. Brij Bhushan Goyal, president of the Alumni Association, said she gifted several books to the college library on the occasion and visited the premises.
