Campus Notes: Amrit Indo Canadian Academy
Ludhiana: Amrit Indo Canadian Academy organised its annual prize distribution function. The event was themed around the life history of Kartar Singh Sarabha and UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. The programme commenced with shabad gayan. It was follwed by a slide presentation on Sustainable Development Goals. A talk and a performance based on the life story of Kartar Singh Sarabha were also presented. The highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where the toppers of classes X and XII were felicitated. The students were awarded for their academic excellence, encouraging them to strive for greater heights.
BCM College
Women Cell of BCM College organised ‘Be your own boss: Personal effectiveness and grooming’ workshop in collaboration with Procter and Gamble to sensitise the female students about personal health and hygiene. Saniya Azim was the resource person. She discussed some popular myths and appropriate ways of disposal of sanitary pads. Azim also shared tips on skin care. A similar session was held at the Department of Business Management at Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT).
Nankana Sahib Public School
NCC cadets of 4 Pb Air Sqn and NSS volunteers of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, organised a plantation drive. The cadets planted saplings under the guidance of Commanding Officer Group Captain Baljinder Singh Gill. The drive was supported by former sarpanch of Gill village Baljeet Singh Gill and Sukhdarshan Singh Gill. Under the initiative, saplings of neem, gulmohar and some flowering varieties were planted around the village and on the school premises.

Girl students of Shri Harkrishan Sahib Public Senior Secondary School, Daba Road, brought laurels by winning the zonal kabaddi competition organised by the Punjab Department of School Education at BCM School, Dolon Khurd. The school’s U-19 team defeated Kanya Government School in the final. TNS
