Guru Nanak Public School hosted its annual prize distribution function with enthusiasm and zeal. The event was graced by Amanpreet Singh Arora, Territory Head of ECA Ludhiana and Patron of the Preschool Associations of Ludhiana, who attended as the chief guest. Students from UKG to Class V participated in the celebration with spirited enthusiasm. The programme commenced with a soulful Shabad in remembrance of the Almighty. Students eloquently presented the school’s annual report for the session 2023-24, demonstrating their precision and poise. The highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where the chief guest awarded prizes to 45 students, recognising their performances in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. Notable winners included Patrick Grewal of UKG, honoured for his participation in the Punjab State Roller Skating Championship; Harjaap Singh of Class 5, awarded a trophy for securing the first position in the Punjab State Primary Football Championship; and Prabhfateh Singh of Class 1, who received a trophy for clinching second place in the All-India Karate Championship. The cultural programme followed, beginning with a welcoming dance, followed by melodious songs, a classical dance performance and several exceptional acts. One of the most spectacular segments, ‘Flavours of Punjab’, showcased the rich heritage of the state. Addressing the gathering, the chief guest congratulated the students excelling in academics and sports, urging them to pursue their goals with dedication and hard work. Parents expressed gratitude to the teachers for their dedication in nurturing student confidence, which enabled them to shine on stage. The principal, Mona Singh, thanked the guests and parents. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.

Student triumphs at science exhibition

The 52nd State Level Science Exhibition, held under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan, took place at Khalsa College in Amritsar on February 13. The exhibition, focused on the theme “Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future”, provided a platform for young scientists to showcase their projects. Basharat Esar, a Class 8 student from Government Senior Secondary Smart School, PAU, earned recognition in the sub-theme of “Mathematical Modelling and Computational Thinking”. His write-up and video would be forwarded to NCERT for the 52nd ‘Rashtriya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani 2025’. His guide, Rumani Ahuja, a Maths teacher, was commended for her support in his success.

Arya College hosts marketing fest

Kamla Lohtia SD College students showcased their talents at the Inter-College Marketing Fest ‘YES’ (Youth Exhibiting Skills), held at Arya College, Ludhiana. The college team, consisting of Kashish Bassi, Bhavneet, Hanisha and Sanchita Thakur, participated in the event’s Gaming Stall, where they exhibited their marketing skills through games such as stick puzzle, find the fit chit, perfect match, hit and trial, tower with twist and dice roll. After competing with various teams, the Kamla Lohtia team secured third place. The principal, Dr Mohd Saleem, praised the students for their achievement and urged them to continue excelling in future events. The college managing committee, headed by Sunil Aggarwal, also congratulated the winners for their impressive performance.
