Ludhiana: A blood donation camp was organised at Kamla Lohtia SD College in association with the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) and Sri Govind Gaudham Trust (Regd), on the occasion of death anniversary of Jagat Narayan. The camp was organized with the noble aim of serving the society and saving the precious lives. The camp was inaugurated by Gurpreet Singh Sidhu, Ludhiana ACP (Traffic), as the chief guest for the occassion. Students from various streams donated around 70 units of blood. Speaking on the occasion, Sidhu appreciated the noble initiative taken by the college authorities and the whole-hearted participation of the students. The camp proceeded successfully under the guidance of camp coordinator Prof Deepak Dhingra and co-coordinators Prof Monika and Prof Jaspreet Kaur.

Nankana Sahib Public School

The students of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill Park, excelled in Sikh martial arts at the district-level tournament held at Baba Mukand Senior Secondary School, Daba. Competing against 55 teams, the U-14 and U-17 teams secured the third place in their respective categories. The U-14 team was represented by Abhijeet Singh (IV), Gurpreet Singh (VIII), and Sukhman Singh (VII). The U-17 team included Sahibveer Singh, Sehajdeep Singh (both XI), Gurkirat Singh (VIII) and Ranbir Singh (VII). Principal Harmeet Kaur Waraich congratulated the participants, lauding their efforts and determination. Nankana Sahib Public School also showcased remarkable talent in the Punjab Khed Mela at Duley Stadium. The U-14 girls’ volleyball shooting team clinched the first position, with nine girls advancing to the district level. In the U-17 category, the girls also secured the first position, with nine students selected for district representation.
