The chain of Green Land Schools celebrated the birth anniversary of Sant Kirpal Singh Maharaj at Green Land Senior Secondary Public School, Jalandhar Bypass, Ludhiana, with excitement and religious fervour. Chairman of the chain of schools Rajesh Rudhra, along with other dignitaries and staff of all the branches, paid obeisance to the great guru. The event was marked by soulful bhajan recitations, inspirational speeches, and devotional offerings, creating an atmosphere of peace and harmony. The celebrations commenced with the chanting of hymns, invoking divine blessings, followed by a PowerPoint presentation that highlighted the teachings of the sant. The school premises echoed with devotional melodies as the students and staff paid homage to the guru through shabads and kirtans. Thereupon langar was distributed among the devotees. On the occasion, the Chairman congratulated everyone and shed light on the life and teachings of Sant Kirpal Singh Ji. He said the soul experienced true joy in three special moments. First, on immersing oneself in the divine vibrations of sankirtan. Second, on listening to soulful music that uplifted the spirit, and third, when one extended their hands in kindness, helping those in need.

Ludhiana: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the University Institute of Laws, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana, in collaboration with the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, organised a one-day sensitisation programme on ‘Intergenerational Bonding’. Sponsored by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, the event aimed to foster mutual understanding and strengthen connections between different age groups in society. The programme was conducted under the patronage of RP Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, and Renu Cheema Vig, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University. While delivering the welcome address, Aman Amrit Cheema, Director, PURC, Ludhiana, highlighted the importance of the joint family system in strengthening intergenerational bonds and emphasised how shared experiences within families contributed to cultural preservation and emotional well-being. The event commenced at 9.00 am with insightful discussions on the significance of intergenerational relationships, interactive sessions fostering empathy and shared experiences, and expert talks by Dr Hareesh Kumar T (organising secretary and assistant professor, DFA) and Dr Ravi Inder Singh (professor at University Business School, PURC).
