DCM Young Entrepreneurs School

Ludhiana: The International Festival of Emerging Technologies - METAVERSE 2.0 which was organised by DCM Young Entrepreneurs School (YES) brought to fore the brilliance of young innovative students from across India, who presented a blend of futuristic innovation and cutting-edge technologies. This conference of emerging technologies saw the students compete in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, design thinking, coding, data analytics, big data, robotics and other such areas. During the opening ceremony, the DCM YES students presented a musical performance which was followed by a series of events which went on through the day. In all, over 50 schools represented by 1,000 students participated in the event. Dr Anirudh Gupta, CEO, presided over the opening ceremony while Dr Gopan Gopalakrishnan, Deputy CEO, accorded warm welcome to the judges, guests and the visitors. Kritika Goyal, civil servant, presided over the valedictory ceremony while hosts of eminent industrialists and prominent intellectuals also made their presence felt as the guests of honour. The Yespreuners presented a spectacular robotic dance which was well received by the audience.

Dr AVM Public Senior Secondary School

Teej was celebrated at Dr AVM Public Senior Secondary School, near Isa Nagri Puli, with enthusiasm. On the occasion, students participated in various cultural activities wearing colourful Punjabi attire. Managing Committee Chairman Rajiv Kumar Lovely said the school had always emphasised the need fot all-round development of students. The day’s cultural programme saw students enjoying various cultural activities such as giddha and boliyaan.

DAV Public School

DAV Public School, Pakhowal road, organised a Rakhi Fair. The event, themed ‘Bond of Love for Siblings’ showcased the creativity and talent of students of classes VI-VIII and classes XI-XII. Student members of the school art and craft club, fashion and apparel designing club, entrepreneurship development and financial literacy club, and food fiesta club, came together to craft an impressive array of handmade items, demonstrating the power of collaborative efforts nurturing creativity and community values.

Indian Public Senior Secondary School

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at Indian Public Senior Secondary School, Daba Lohara road, with enthusiasm. The students participated in different activities related to the occasion such as colouring rakhis, rakhi-making, thali decoration, etc. Students came dressed in vibrant attire and were excited to celebrate the festival. The motive behind organising the event was to encourage creativity among students. Children were familiarised with the customs and rituals followed on Raksha Bandhan.

Spring Dale Public School

Spring Dale Public School was abuzz with excitement as it celebrated the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a festival that epitomises the unconditional love and bond between brothers and sisters. The school premises wore a festive look, with students enthusiastically participating in rakhi-making and rakhi-tying activities. Using an array of colorful materials like beads, glitter, ribbons, threads and flowers, the students showcased their creativity and skill.

Bhartiya Vidya Mandir

Packed with the fervour to cherish hundreds of lovely memories, young students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (BVM), Sector 39, entered the school to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with enthusiasm. School’s art and cultural club organised special activities such as rakhi-making, card-making, gift-packing and shagun envelope decoration to emphasise the significance of the ‘forever bond’ between sisters and brothers. The celebration ended on a heartfelt note of realisation and expression of love, compassion and togetherness that the golden thread of rakhi pulsates with.

Sri Aurobindo College

Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management celebrated the 152nd birth anniversary of Aurobindo Ghose along alongside 78th Independence Day celebrations. It also participated in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ throught its NSS unit. Dr Vishal Kumar, principal, and the college faculty, paid obeisance to Sri Aurobindo, and hoisted the Tricolour. A paper-reading contest on the topic ‘Life is life - whether in a cat, or dog or man’ was organised on the occasion. The principal, in his address to the gathering, stated that Sri Aurobindo was not only a great Indian mystic but a ‘meta human of sorts’. He also urged the students to participate in more such events for rounded development. He also dwelt upon the teachings of the sage and seer Sri Aurobindo. TNS
