Khanna: The NCC unit at AS College, Khanna, was inspected by Commanding Officer Colonel Sanjay Singh of the 14 Punjab Battalion NCC, Nabha. All cadets participated in the event, exhibitiing full discipline and enthusiasm. Colonel Sanjay Singh evaluated the cadets’ drill, parade and other activities. He emphasised the importance of discipline, patriotism and dedication in his address to the cadets. Principal Dr KK Sharma welcomed the colonel to the college and commended the dedicated efforts of the NCC unit. College NCC in-charge, Dr Parvesh Sharma, praised the hard work and dedication of the NCC cadets.

Oxford Senior Secondary School

Doraha: Oxford Senior School, Payal, organised an awareness rally at Doraha in protest against the rising crimes against women and girls across the country. The students held placards and shouted slogans advocating for women’s safety. The event was aimed to inspire women to fight back against violence and spread awareness on their rights in society. Through their spirited participation, the students sent a strong message that such horrific incidents would not be tolerated. “Time has come to fight back against such cases of brutality which have shocked the entire nation,” the volunteers said.

DCM Presidency School

Ludhiana: Two girl students of DCM Presidency School, Chandigarh road, brought laurels by winning medals in the U-14 category in the National Taekwondo Championship held in Kanpur. Karul won the gold medal while Harshita secured the bronze. Principal Rajni Kalra congratulated the students and their parents on the achievement. She also appreciated students’ mentor Yashumant for his efforts. The school management honoured the students and their instructor on bringing fame to the school.
