Campus notes: Oath-taking Ceremony

The College of Veterinary Science of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University conducted the oath-taking Ceremony for 93 graduating veterinary students of the 2019 batch. Dr Prahlad Singh welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor, and Dr Amit Nain, Executive Member, Veterinary Council of India, who were present as the Guest of Honour. Dr J Mohindroo, Director of Clinics, shared the achievements of students in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. Dr SS Randhawa, Dean of the College, administered the Veterinarian’s Oath to the graduates, urging them to follow veterinary ethics in their practice. The graduates expressed gratitude to their teachers and shared their experiences at the University. Dr Amit Nain congratulated the graduates and emphasized the important role veterinarians play in safeguarding animal and public health. A video clip showcasing the students’ journey at the University was presented, which was highly appreciated by all attendees.

Havan at BCM Arya Model Shastri Nagar: BCM Arya Model Sr Sec School, Shastri Nagar, welcomed its new Nursery students with a sacred Havan ceremony to invoke divine blessings for their academic journey. The ceremony, attended by around 400 students, their parents, the School Management, Director, and Principal, created a spiritually enriched atmosphere. The resonating chants of mantras purged the environment, bringing positive energy to the young learners. Following the Havan, a Meet & Greet session was held, where students interacted with their first teachers, and parents were introduced to the school’s daily schedule. The Kindergarten Block, adorned with vibrant displays, further welcomed families. Principal Dr Anuja Kaushal emphasised that the Havan marked a harmonious start to the academic year, instilling confidence and enthusiasm in the students.

Graduation Ceremony Chandigarh Road: BCM School Chandigarh Road’s Foundational Stage celebrated the graduation of its UKG batch of 2024–2025 with a two-day grand ceremony. The event marked the first step of the students into a world of opportunities, learning, and growth. Headmistress Ritu Syal extended a warm welcome to the parents and praised the young graduates for reaching this important milestone. She encouraged the students to continue their academic journey with confidence and an eagerness to learn, as they enter their next phase of education.
