Campus notes: Police DAV Public School

Young students of upper kindergarten at Police DAV Public School participated in a poetry recitation on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat’, expressing their thoughts on cleanliness and hygiene. This initiative aligns with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, encouraging students to showcase their creativity while emphasising the importance of keeping surroundings clean, proper waste disposal and maintaining personal hygiene. The event aimed to nurture civic responsibility and environmental consciousness in the young minds of our future generation, highlighting the school’s commitment to promoting cleanliness and a healthier environment.

Arya college

Department of hindi of Arya College Girls Section organised a quiz on the topic ‘Kurukshetra’ dedicated to Padma Vibhushan awardee and Jnanpith Award recepient winning national poet ‘Ramdhari Singh Dinkar’. This quiz was based on Dinkar’s famous poem Kurukshetra prescribed in the BA third year syllabus. An attempt was made to make the course interesting for the students through this activity. Appreciating the efforts of the department, Dr SM Sharma, secretary, ACMC, said such competitions played an important role in connecting students with literature. Principal Dr Suksham Ahluwalia motivated the students to participate in all activities with same zeal. Dr Mamta Kohli appreciated the excellent performance of the students and said the students should work hard in such competitions so that they can get benefits in future also.

Kamla Lohtia sd college

‘College Campus Swachhta Abhiyan’ was organized at Kamla Lohtia SD College to mark the NSS Day in which NSS volunteers were apprised about the significance of cleanliness in their surroundings. NSS volunteers cleaned the campus and removed the clutter all around. They also pledged to maintain the cleanliness on the campus. Principal Dr Mohd Saleem appreciated the initiative taken by the students and motivated them to always observe cleanliness to promote health and hygiene. He also lauded the efforts of NSS programme coordinators.
