Campus notes: Ryan international school
Ludhiana: In an initiative to promote reading among students, Scholastic Book Fair was organised at Ryan International School, Jamalpur. Principal Manasi Thapar inaugurated the book fair. A wide range of books for students of classes I to XII was exhibited. Books on a variety of genres such as fiction, non-fiction, biographies and self-help were up for grabs.
Drishti Dr RC Jain School
Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative Public School celebrated its graduation ceremony for the batch of 2023-24. Themed ‘Rite of Passage: From Learning to Serving’, the event was graced by the presence of the chief guest and keynote speaker, V Puri, founder principal. The ceremony commenced with the academic procession that included the chief guest, Principal Dr Manisha Gangwar, teachers and students of the graduating class, led by NCC cadets marching to the beats of the school band.
Nankana Sahib Public School
With the motive of charity, Nankana Sahib Public School organised a rakhi exhibition. The school provided a platform to deaf-mute students for selling rakhis crafted by them. The rakhis were made by students of Ambuja Manovikas Kendra being run by Ambuja Foundation at Salora village, Morinda road, Ropar district. The centre currently has around 110 ‘special’ students. Rama Devi, speech therapist, and Gurmeet Kaur, special educator, thanked the students and teachers for rendering a helping hand towards the noble cause.
Khalsa College for Women
Physics Department of Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, has started an electricity conservation awareness drive that will run throughout the coming week. The drive is part of the college’s efforts to support both academic excellence and environmental responsibility. Participants were advised to follow simple energy-saving tips, like turning off lights and appliances when not in use, using energy-efficient products and spreading the word about saving energy. TNS
