Ludhiana: Independence Day was celebrated at the school. The school was decorated and represented different regions of the country —East, West, North and South. Pupils and their mothers came dressed with a platter of delicacy from the region they represented. The best dressed mother and child were appreciated by the Principal. The event ended with smiles all around, it was a wonderful experience for everyone.

To commemorate Raksha Bandhan, a rakhi-making activity was organised at the school for students of Classes VI to VIII. The students made beautiful rakhis using different articles like silken thread and ribbon etc. They also made beautiful cards for their brothers and sisters. Their children thoroughly enjoyed the activity that tickled their creativity.

On the occasion of Independence Day, students visited the office of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ramandeep Bhullar. The students celebrated the spirit of Independence Day by singing patriotic songs and participating in vibrant activities. The ADCP shared inspiring stories of freedom fighters' sacrifices and encouraged the children to fulfil their duties towards the nation. The visit was a memorable experience for the children, who also presented hand-made cards to Bhullar. The event concluded with the children raising patriotic slogans of ‘Jai Hind’, filling the air with national pride.

To officially appoint the members of the Proctorial Board for the academic session 2024-25, the school organised an investiture ceremony on its premises. The occasion was a testament to the school's commitment to nurture young talents into responsible individuals. The newly elected leaders of house council members were bestowed with badges and sashes by Inderpal Singh Chadha, Director, Nankana Sahib Education Trust. The newly appointed office-bearers then took an oath to uphold the values and traditions of the school and to perform their duties with diligence and sincerity. Head boy Harkirat Singh expressed his gratitude for being selected and promised to work hard to fulfil his responsibilities. He also urged his fellow prefects to work as a team and lead by example. Head girl Ashmeet Kaur shared her vision and goals for the academic year ahead.

The school was abuzz with patriotic spirit as students celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The young Springdalians arrived at the school dressed in tricoloured outfits, showcasing their love for the nation. The celebration began with poetry recitation session, followed by a vibrant dance performance set to patriotic tunes. To add to the occasion, students brought tricolour-themed food in their lunch boxes and the entire event was resonant with slogans, reflecting a strong sense of freedom and unity.

CTU clubs, under the aegis of the Department of Student Welfare, organised engaging events on the occasion of International Youth Day. The day was filled with a plethora of activities designed to celebrate the vibrant spirit of youth and foster intellectual growth among students. The event began with a Group Discussion on LGBTQIA+ issues, where students engaged in meaningful conversations about diversity, inclusion, and the challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community. The session encouraged open dialogue, aiming to promote understanding and empathy among the youth. In line with the university's commitment to sustainability, the 'Clean Campus, Green Future' initiative was also launched. Students participated in various activities to promote environmental awareness and took pledges to maintain a cleaner, greener campus.
Drishti Dr RC Jain Public School
A workshop on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 was organised with an aim to raise awareness about child safety, identify signs of abuse and understand the legal framework for protecting children. The resource person advocate Varinderjit Singh Randhawa, Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel, Ludhiana, gave an overview of the POCSO Act and made the teaching faculty understand the different types of abuse along with the sign and symptoms of abuse. tns
