Ludhiana: Spring Bells Day Boarding School organised ‘Star Night and Udbhav 2024’. The highlight of the day was a cultural event where students performed bhangra, garba, dandiya and giddha. Students also took part in dramatic performances of the Ramayana, Mahabharata, besides sports activities. Students were given awards for excelling in board exams, sports and other co-curricular activities. Managing Director Sushma Sharma said: “We are committed to providing a conducive learning environment at the school.”
DAV Public School
Rabnoor Singh Sethi, a student of DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, here, brought laurels to the school by bagging a gold medal in U-19 School National Games Basketball Tournament held at Patiala from November 18-26. Rajesh Thakur, HoD, Physical Education Department and coach, acknowledged the efforts of Rabnoor. Principal Satwant Kaur Bhullar appreciated Rajesh and Rabnoor for their devotion towards the game.
Nankana Sahib Public School
Adding another feather to his cap, Gurmat Singh, a Class XII (Arts) student of Nankana Sahib Public School, won a gold medal in the National Basketball Tournament. The tournament, organised by the School Games Federation of India, was held in Patiala. Gurmat, who was the captain of the Punjab team, won the gold medal by defeating Rajasthan team. Gurmat said: “I want to play for my country at the international level and bring laurels to the country.”
Darshan Academy
Darshan Academy, Ludhiana, organised a career counselling session for students of Classes 6 to 9. The session aimed at guiding students in exploring various career options, understanding their strengths and interests and making decisions about their career. The main purpose of the session was to introduce students to a wide range of career opportunities and provide them with the tools to make choices based on their skills, interests and abilities. It encouraged students to think deeply about their future goals and aspirations. Speakers highlighted career paths in fields such as engineering, medicine and humanities. Students also asked questions about various professions and how to pursue them.
