Campus notes: World Tuberculosis Day
CT University, in collaboration with Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMC&H) Ludhiana, observed World Tuberculosis Day with a special event aimed at raising awareness about tuberculosis among students of School of Health Sciences, Allied Health Sciences and Optometry. The event, held at LT-1, Dumra Auditorium, DMC&H, featured an expert talk by Dr Veenu Gupta, who shared valuable insights on TB prevention, symptoms and treatment. The session was followed by a Q&A round, where students actively participated, asking thought-provoking questions and engaging in meaningful discussions. Dr Veenu Gupta commented, “Tuberculosis is a pressing public health concern that requires collective efforts to combat. It is heartening to see students and institutions like CT University and DMC&H Ludhiana taking proactive steps to raise awareness and promote education on TB prevention and management.” Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi said, “As an institution committed to social responsibility, we recognise the importance of promoting health awareness and education. Our partnership with DMC&H Ludhiana is a testament to our shared vision of creating a healthier, more informed community. We will continue to work together to address critical health issues and empower our students to become responsible healthcare professionals.”
inter-college Rangmanch held
Ludhiana: Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management which is known for exceptional academics, theatricals and co-murals, organised a splendid inter-college cultural fest 'Rangmanch'. The 'Rangmanch' contends to drill in the young brains a hunger for the finer arts of dance and melody. The college always works to steer the young minds towards the holistic development. The fest set into motion with the grand spectacle of inauguration with lighting of the candelabra by Principal Dr Vishal Kumar. A brief introduction about the fest was given by Dr Manpreet Kaur. As many as 22 performances from various colleges across the state made the show festive with their zealous participation. The Principal warmly welcomed attendees and participants to the college for this grand battle of music and dance.

Ludhiana: The Red Ribbon Club of Arya College Girls Section celebrated 'World Tuberculosis Day' to create awareness about the prevention and control of tuberculosis. An awareness campaign was organised about the importance of early detection and treatment of tuberculosis. Dr SM Sharma, Secretary ACMC, appreciated the efforts of providing information about the various treatment options available to the students.
