Child hurt as Sutlej Express pelted with stones near Ludhiana
Miscreants pelted Sutlej Express with stones at Baddowal, 10 km from the Ludhiana railway station, on Thursday night.
It led to a head injury to a four-year-old boy.
The boy, Prince, was taken to civil hospital here, where he was referred to PGI Chandigarh.
A few other passengers reportedly suffered minor injuries.
The child was given first aid at city railway station before being taken to hospital.
Prince's mother Savita said they boarded the Sutlej Express from Ganganagar for Ludhiana. As the train reached near Baddowal in Ludhiana, stone-pelting started and a stone hit his son’s head. Two other passengers sitting nearby were also hit, she said.
Meanwhile, the railway authorities have started an investigation to identify the suspects.
A few days ago, miscreants had pelted Vande Bharat with stones at Khanna.
