CICU organises knowledge session on enhancing international trade

Members of the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertaking (CICU) met with Utpal Acharya, joint director, General Foreign Trade (DGFT) and organised a knowledge session on ‘how to find international buyers’ delivered by Sandeep Rajoriya, assistant, DGFT, Ludhiana.

The event was aimed at bolstering the export capabilities of local businesses. Acharya and Rajoriya delivered a slide presentation on effective strategies to find international buyers and onboard exporters. The session was inaugurated by Upkar Singh Ahuja, president, CICU, and emphasised the importance of expanding in the global market. During the session, Acharya and Rajoriya emphasised the importance of understanding international market dynamics, adapting products to meet global standards and providing excellent customer service to build long-lasting relationships with the buyers.

Among other strategies, the use of online platforms such as International Trade Centre, Global Sources, and TradeKey was recommended for connecting with international buyers.
