Ishwerpreet Kaur Jawanda was felicitated with the Chancellor’s Medal by Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria during the convocation held at Punjab Agriculture University (PAU), Ludhiana, recently. Her exceptional academic performance, coupled with her research on ‘Seasonal Emergence of Pathogenic Bacteria in Salads and Remedial Measures,’ fetched her the laurel.

Presently, Ishwerpreet is pursuing her doctorate in microbiology at Punjab University, Chandigarh, and is poised to work towards upgrading the lifestyle of rural people by spreading awareness on the causes and consequences of infections caused by microbes due to ignorance.

She was also felicitated for securing the highest overall credit point average in the master’s programme in microbiology at the university.
