City players made their mark by finishing among winners in different age groups in the 65th Punjab State Table Tennis Championship, held at Hans Raj Stadium, Jalandhar, from December 5 to 9.

Naman Mehra emerged winner in the men’s section while Aryan Sacheva came out triumphant in the boys U-17 category, while Gauranshi Uppal romped home in the girls U-11 group. Besides, Raghav Bhanot secured silver medal in the boys U-17 category and Kavya finished at third place in the girls U-13 category to secure bronze medal.

In team events, Ludhiana finished as second runners-up in the men’s section, got second position in the women’s category, secured third position in boys U-19 group, won second place in girls U-19 section, finished at third place in boys U-15 category and secured second position in girls U-15 section.

HS Chathwal, Ashwani Goyal and Manmeet Singh, president, vice president and general secretary, respectively, of the Ludhiana District Table Tennis Association congratulated players for bringing glory to the city.
