Ludhiana, December 8

Top eight cricket outfits of Punjab comprising players from different clubs and institutions will be vying for top honours in the inaugural edition of the Trident Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament scheduled to be held in Ludhiana from December 18 to 27.

Bhupinder Singh, senior former international cricketer and member of the organising committee, said the tournament was being organised jointly by the Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA), an affiliated unit of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) and Hara Cricket Club, a member of the LDCA.

Matches during the ten-day tournament will be played at two GRD Academy Ground, Hambran Road and Hara Cricket Stadium, Baddowal, near here on Ferozepur Road.

Teams will be divided into two groups. The tournament will be played on league-cum-knock out basis. Each team will play three matches before two top teams from both groups qualify for the semi final slots.
