Even as there has been a rise in the early morning temperature, which stood 9°C on Monday, the cold wave conditions still persist in the region. Residents continued to face problems due to the foggy weather today after witnessing a sunny day yesterday. Between 8 am and 9 am in the morning, dew drops were witnessed on vehicles, trees, roads, etc.

The cold conditions, along with fog, made it a dull day and the normal life started late as it was a holiday on the occasion of the Parkash Purb of Guru Gobind Singh. According to the weather predictions, the city will witness be a clear sky till Saturday compared to the last week. However, the minimum temperatures are expected to decline further to 4-5°C in the coming 2-3 days.

Many passengers at railway stations had to bear the brunt of the biting cold as several trains were running late.
