CT University’s Department of Student Welfare organised a special session to educate students about cybercrime and online safety. The session featured Tarun Malhotra, a renowned expert and founder of Cyber Cops. Malhotra shared valuable tips and insights on how to protect oneself from cyber threats. He also talked about the growing threats of cybercrime and the importance of online safety. The session was attended by 300 students, faculty members, and staff. They appreciated the informative and engaging presentation by Malhotra.

Malwa Central College of Education

A seven-day NSS camp was organised at Malwa Central College of Education for Women from January 2 to 8, with an aim to promote social responsibility, teamwork, and leadership among students. The camp, coordinated by NSS programme officers Dr Mandeep Kaur, Dr Rekha, and Dr Sukhwinder Singh, featured inspiring talks by eminent speakers such as Mukti Gill, Rohit Bajaj, Navneet Joshi, Dr Balwinder Singh, Babita Arora, and Dr Rupinder Kaur. Their sessions provided valuable insights on social, health, and environmental issues. Students participated in activities such as poster-making, slogan writing, declamation, poem recital, tree plantation, and awareness rallies. A highlight of the camp was the celebration of Gurpurab on January 6, marked by prayers, kirtan, and a community kitchen, symbolising teamwork and service. The camp concluded with a cultural programme where students showcased their talent in dance, music, and speaking, and a valedictory ceremony on January 8, during which volunteers were appreciated and awarded for their dedication and significant contributions to the NSS activities. Winners of various competitions were also recognised. Aditi was adjudged the best NSS volunteer. Principal Dr Satwant Kaur expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the efforts of the NSS team and the enthusiasm of the volunteers, calling the camp a resounding success.
