The surgery was led by Dr Abhinav Sachdeva, consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon, along with the hospital’s ICU and trauma team, under the supervision of Dr Krishan Jain, critical care specialist. The patient, who had suffered a traumatic hand amputation in an industrial accident, underwent emergency microvascular replantation and is now on the road to recovery with good chances of functional restoration, the doctors said. This case underscores the hospital’s growing reputation as a centre of excellence for emergency trauma care, microsurgery and critical care management.
