In a single high-risk arthroscopic procedure, Dr Chetan Sharma, consultant orthopaedics, repaired three major knee ligaments — ACL, MCL, and PCL — making it the first such surgery in Ludhiana where multiple ligaments were restored in one sitting. The procedure was made possible with the expert support of Dr JP Sharma (Anaesthesia). As part of the same case, the patient’s facial lacerations were meticulously treated by Dr Sundeep Kaur, Associate Director, plastic surgery, ensuring both functional and cosmetic recovery.

Speaking at the press conference, Dr Sunil Katyal, Deputy Director, medical services, SPS Hospitals, said, “Since 2005 at SPS Hospitals, we have never shied away from challenges. Our mission is to provide advanced, ethical, benchmarked, and affordable healthcare to patients.” — TNS
