Officials of Ludhiana Commissionerate Police organised a two-hour cleanliness drive called ‘Shramdaan’ on Sunday, demonstrating the Commissionerate’s commitment to fostering a clean environment.

The drive saw enthusiastic participation from all staff members, who cleaned their workspaces, office areas, and ensured proper waste disposal. In addition to cleaning, the staff watered saplings and trees. Their collective efforts transformed the office spaces into cleaner, more welcoming areas.

Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma announced that this drive will be held on every Sunday. He urged all officials to maintain clean and hygienic office premises. He emphasised the importance of consistent efforts to sustain the momentum of this initiative. “Such drives not only improve the appearance of our workplaces, but also help instill a sense of discipline and responsibility among the staff,” he remarked. He further highlighted the collective duty of all officials to ensure a clean work environment and encouraged them to commit to the cause. He added that the ‘Shramdaan’ campaign aimed to promote awareness about cleanliness, urging officials to set an example for other institutions in Ludhiana by making cleanliness a mission.
