CPM leader speaks against ‘pro-corporate’ Union Budget

The state body of the CPM has announced a coordinated movement to spread awareness about the alleged sinister designs of the Union Government to benefit the corporate sector at the cost of the interests of common people, small farmers, employees, labourers, and traders.

The party has draughted a comprehensive programme to rope in office-bearers and activists of like-minded outfits to apprise the masses about the intricacies of the budget, which ‘is aimed to appease only big corporate houses and favourites of the Prime Minister.’

Accusing the government of failing to look out for the common people, CPM Secretary Sukhwinder Singh Sekhon alleged, “Having studied the intricacies of the alleged anti-people and anti-Punjab budget, we have decided to launch a coordinated movement to update the masses on how smartly they have been duped once again by repeating stepmotherly treatment with northern states in general and Punjab in particular.”
