State chief of the CPM, Sukhwinder Singh Sekhon, has announced the launch of a coordinated movement to spread awareness about alleged ‘anti-people’ and ‘defective policies’ of traditional political parties, including Aam Aadmi Party, Congress, BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal.

Accusing these parties of exploiting religious sentiments of various communities to harness political mileage, Sekhon said his party would rope in office-bearers to spread awareness about the causes and consequences of governing a state by spreading hatred in society. He added that these parties nurtured the concept of ‘Crony Capitalism’ that advocated an economic system characterised by close mutually advantageous relationship between business leaders and government officials.

Sekhon alleged that the AAP government would try to seek sympathy on the pretext of withdrawal of much criticised land pooling policy. He said the state would be devastated economically, geographically and demographically and ecologically in case any government in the future tried to divert fertile irrigated land to non-agricultural purposes in violation of Land Acquisition Act, 2013.

Sekhon regretted that the PM had let the nation down before US President just to save the interests of close associates. He criticised the BJP for allegedly trying to continue to stay in power by spreading hatred among Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and various communities through its ‘saffron outfits’.

He sarcastically said that CM Mann was trying to fool people by making unrealistic demands and implementing the hidden agenda made with the BJP and Congress.
