Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana, successfully concluded a two-week dairy farming training programme, which drew enthusiastic participation from 43 trainees, including 40 men and three women, from various districts across the state.

Dr RS Grewal, Director of Extension Education, while chairing the valedictory session, emphasised the university’s commitment to promoting the economic development, sustainability and welfare of livestock farmers and allied businesses. Highlighting the growing popularity and profitability of dairy farming, he said the university was providing comprehensive information and technical support to those interested in adopting dairy farming as a profession. He lauded the active participation of trainees and encouraged them to view dairy farming as a viable and sustainable livelihood option. Dr Jaswinder Singh, course director and HoD of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education, said the training programme featured a well-balanced mix of theoretical and practical sessions.
