In the annual elections of the District Bar Association (DBA), Ludhiana, for 2025, Mayank Chopra emerged victorious for the position of finance secretary as per the results declared late on Friday night. Mayank secured 1,050 votes, defeating his closest rival Ved Bhushan Sharma, who received 831 votes. The third candidate, Amit Gupta, garnered 631 votes, while 32 votes were declared invalid during the counting.
For the post of joint secretary, Rachin Soni was declared winner with 1,716 votes. Whereas his nearest rival candidate Rimaljit Singh Rampal got 507 votes and Rahul Sharma secured 269 votes.
RO Lokesh Batta and Sukhvir Singh Bhalla said during the counting of votes for six executive committee members on Saturday, Sandeep Singh bagged 1,425 votes, Jasvir Singh 1,373 votes, Piyush Chawla 1,273 votes, Samar Sharma 1,245 votes, Harjeet Singh Bhatti 1,241 votes and Ramandeep Singh Adival got 1,224 votes.
