A special camp to distribute artificial limbs and other necessary products to disabled students at Government Primary School, Model Gram, was organised today. On the occasion, 44 students under Ludhiana Block 1 and 11 were provided with necessary aid by the department.

District Education Officer (Primary) Ravinder Kaur said these camps were held by the department. A team of doctors visited the area to make an assessment about the disabled students, and then accordingly the required aid was provided to them. Under the initiative, the students were given wheelchairs, tricycles, hearing aids, MR kits etc.

The DEO appealed to the masses to come forward to avail the benefits given by the government from time to time. The camp would be held tomorrow also.
