Ludhiana, August 4
The Department of Neurology of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital hosted the two-day Punjab Stroke and Intervention Conference (PSICON 2024), an event aimed at advancing knowledge and practices in stroke management and intervention.
The conference theme was ‘BOOST: Bridging knowledge gaps to Optimise Outcomes in Stroke Therapeutics’.
Highlights of the event included a panel discussion on contemporary aspects of stroke management, hands-on workshop for acute stroke interventions, live demonstration of DSA and a carotid stenting and stroke thrombolysis masterclass. The event provided a platform for neurologists, stroke specialists and healthcare professionals from across the region to share the latest research and technological advancements in stroke care.
Day one of the conference included a pre-conference workshop which was attended by over 100 participants. Organisers Dr Gagandeep Singh and Dr Dhanjay Gupta highlighted the recent advancements in stroke intervention and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in stroke management.
