DMC&H launches EMR system to boost patient care

Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMC&H), Ludhiana, has introduced an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system aimed at improving patient care and operational efficiency. The system allows physicians to securely access real-time patient data from any location, enabling better clinical decision-making. By streamlining administrative processes, the EMR reduces redundant paperwork and delays, leading to more efficient services, accurate prescriptions, and well-coordinated treatment plans. Inaugurated by Sunil Kant Munjal, President of DMC&H Managing Society, the system enhances integration across specialties, improves communication, and ensures data security. The user-friendly interface reduces manual errors and optimises nursing workflows, allowing more time for patient care and strengthening clinical decision-making and long-term healthcare planning.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
