Giving information on the test, Dr Karambir Singh Gill stated that the test was a pain-free experience and its results can be read within 30-40 mintues. It is done on the arm of the child and around 10-12 allergens can be tested in one go. Commonly tested antigens include house dust mite, fungal allergens such as Aspergillus fumigatus and aeroallergens (Cynodon, Cassia, Morus alba). In the pollen season, the test is done as per the pollination calendar. This test will help children with conditions such as allergic rhinitis and asthma.
