Doc booked for patient’s death

The Model Town police on Monday registered a case against a doctor of a private hospital after a woman allegedly died due to the negligence of hospital authorities.

The doctor has been identified as Rajinder Mani Pal of Kunal Hospital, Model Town Extension.

Complainant Nitin Kumar of Janakpuri told the police that on August 7, his pregnant wife delivered a child at Kunal Hospital. After the delivery, his wife’s health deteriorated. He alleged that due to the lack of proper medical equipment at the hospital, the doctor told him to shift his wife to another hospital. He then got his wife admitted to CMC Hospital where during the treatment she died. The complainant alleged that his wife died due to the negligence of Kunal Hospital doctor. On his complaint, the police have registered a case.
