According to the couple, the incident occurred on April 19 when they were forcibly evicted and brutally beaten. They were admitted to the Civil Hospital for treatment following the assault. Upon discharge, they said they tried to file a complaint with the local police but received no response for several days.

Frustrated, the elderly couple approached the office of Commissioner of Police today. DCP Rupinder Singh listened to their grievances and examined the video footage provided by the couple, which reportedly shows them being attacked by their family members.

DCP Singh immediately directed the concerned police officials to file an FIR and take swift legal action.
