On Wednesday, during the drive on the railway road, traffic police officials noticed shopkeepers encroaching the stretch by putting their goods outside. Encroachments were removed and shopkeepers were given strict warnings that they must comply with the directions of the traffic police. Some shopkeepers after noticing vehicles of the traffic police had themselves removed their items kept on the road.

“The traffic police will continue the anti-encroachment drive in the ongoing festive season and support of shopkeepers has also been sought for smooth traffic flow. Police personnel will continue patrolling on the road and if any shopkeeper will not budge, legal action will be taken against them as per law,” Bansal said.
