Ensure no building is built without sanctioned plan, officials told

MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal directed building branch officials to expedite recovery against challans issued against various buildings in the past.

Further, they have also been directed to take strict action against illegal buildings and ensure that nobody should construct a building without a sanctioned building plan.

These directions were issued by the MC Commissioner during a meeting held with the building branch officials at the MC’s Zone D office here on Tuesday.

Superintending Engineers (SE)-cum-MTP Sanjay Kanwar and Praveen Singla, ATPs MS Bedi, Mohan Singh, Jagdeep Singh and building inspectors were also present.

Dachalwal directed the officials to complete assessment of unassessed challans and expedite recovery of dues. Directions were also issued to recover pending CLU charges from the buildings.

Directing the MTPs and ATPs to monitor situation regularly, he said he would conduct review meetings to check progress after every 15 days.
