EPFO celebrates Vigilance Awareness Week with ‘Divyang’ students
Nearly 70 students along with 15 staff members participate in the event
On the eve of Vigilance Awareness Week, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office had a unique opportunity to organise a series of competitions and cultural activities in collaboration with the Vocational Rehabilitation Training Centre for the ‘Divyang’ (Person with disability) students of Ludhiana.
Six competitions were held as part of the celebrations during the vigilance awareness week. These included Hindi Braille writing and Hindi Braille reading, braille chess competition, and a singing competition.
The EPF Regional Office hosted the singing competition on the office premises. Nearly 70 students along with 15 staff members from the institute participated in the event. The students also presented vibrant cultural performances, including dance, Giddha, and group songs, which were warmly appreciated by all present on the occasion. Paritoshdeep Singh Sekhon, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, called upon all officials of the EPFO to take a lesson and get motivated from the positive approach and enthusiasm towards life by Divyang students, despite their physical challenges.
Prizes were distributed among winners and participants of all categories. Sara Johnson, Founder Director, Vocational Rehabilitation Training Centre for the Blind, was also present on the occasion.
