This action was taken when, on the instructions of higher officials, a thorough investigation of the drug test files submitted by applicants for arms licences was conducted. During the investigation, it was found that two people had submitted fake drug test reports, and immediate action was recommended.

The booked persons were identified as Prince Singh, a resident of Chawni Mohalla, and Harjinder Singh, also from Chawni Mohalla.

The police have now launched a further investigation to check if any staff members of Civil Hospital, Ludhiana, helped the applicants in preparing the drug test reports.
