In order to seek support from city residents, various farmer unions took out a tractor march here on Sunday. They also interacted with residents
and asked them to take part in the march to make it successful.
The farmers also appealed to traders in the city to keep their shops, offices, factories and all other establishments closed tomorrow.
Farmer leaders claimed that they would make the Punjab Bandh a complete success.
Farmers said the Punjab Bandh would be observed from 7 am to 4 pm.
Jasbindar Singh Grewal, general secretary of the Small Scale Bus Operators’ Welfare Association, Punjab, said their association had offered full support to the Punjab Bandh call and their buses would stay off the road.
