Blending divinity with environmental concern, a flower show and an on-the-spot photography contest was organised by at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sarabha Nagar, here to promote greenery and love for nature and plants to make the surroundings aesthetically beautiful.

Plant pots lined up outside the gurdwara complex on a sunny, breezy day caught everyone’s attention and visitors stopped to enjoy the beautiful and colourful flowers. This year the theme of the flower show was “God is nature, nature is God”. “God lives around us in nature and preserving nature is like respecting Him,” said Dr Gurpreet Singh Bajaj, general secretary, Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha managing committee.

Jaswinder Kaur, a visitor, said that it was a visual delight to see so many beautiful flowers at one place. She said she came here every year to watch the beauty of nature.
