During the visit, Dhaliwal inspected government schools at Chuharpur, Ladian Khurd, Haibowal Kalan, along with anganwadi centres at Chuharpur and Ladian Khurd. The primary focus of the inspection was to assess the functioning of the Mid-day meal scheme and the condition of food storage facilities.

Officials accompanying Dhaliwal reported that the mid-day meal arrangements at the schools were found to be satisfactory. The member expressed contentment with the overall management but also issued directives to ensure regular medical check-ups for cooks and maintain hygiene standards in school kitchens.

To empower beneficiaries, Dhaliwal shared the Punjab State Food Commission’s helpline number—9876764545—and informed them that any grievances related to the NFSA schemes could also be submitted to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Ludhiana.
