Girl dragged on road after man snatches phone

A video of a man snatching a phone from a girl and dragging her along on his two-wheeler near Rose Garden here went viral today. The incident, reportedly took place on Sunday.

The girl works at a garment shop and was returning home from work when she got a call while walking home. As soon as the girl put the phone to her ear, a snatcher, riding a white scooter, snatched her mobile phone. Showing bravery, the girl caught hold of the snatcher’s arm, but he sped away. The girl was dragged along the two-wheeler for about 30 meters. When the miscreant fled, a PCR vehicle immediately arrived on the spot and took the girl to a hospital.

Police officials said the identity of the girl could not be disclosed yet. They said she had suffered some injuries, and they were scanning the CCTV footage to identify and arrest the suspect.
