Girl jumps from first floor, hurt

A girl studying in Class XII, a resident of Doraha, jumped from the first floor of her house. She got injuries in the incident. She took the extreme step after she was eve-teased and abused by Manpreet Singh, a resident of Gurditpura village. She was mentally harassed and jumped from the first floor on January 17 after Manpreet followed her back home from school and tried to talk to her. A case in this regard has been registered at the Doraha police station.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
