In a major anti-encroachment drive, Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) officials removed unauthorised street vendors and kiosks from the vicinity of the commercial market in Sector 32 on Chandigarh Road.
According to the GLADA authorities, makeshift stalls and carts had been occupying government property illegally for an extended period. Despite repeated warnings, the encroachments continued, prompting action based on directives from the GLADA’s Chief Administrator.
GLADA officials said similar drives would be carried out regularly across various urban estates to ensure a clean and orderly living environment for residents.
