GNS Dholewal, GSSS Kasabad boys enter sub-junior baseball tournament final

Ludhiana, July 27

Guru Nanak School (GNS), Dholewal, and Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Kasabad, beat their respective opponents to enter the final in the boys’ section in the 11th Sub-Junior District Ludhiana Baseball Tournament being held at Government Senior Secondary Smart School ground, Gill village, near here today.

In the semi-finals, GNS got the better of BCM Senior Secondary School, Focal Point, 4-1 in which Sujal and Adarsh excelled while GSSS, Kasabad, faced a little challenge from DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, as the former came out triumphant hands down 15-1, with Neeraj and Sunilt Verma scoring three runs each, to set up the title clash.

Earlier, in the league matches, Narayana E-Techno School beat Gill Baseball Club 2-0; Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town, prevailed over Guru Nanak Baseball Club 1-0; DGSG Public School outperformed Government Senior Secondary School, Gill, 5-4; DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, trounced Government Senior Secondary School, Sangowal, 8-0; BCM Senior Secondary School, Focal point, outplayed DGSH Public School 10-5; Guru Nanak School, Dholewal, outclassed Guru Nanak International Public School 9-4; Government Senior Secondary School, Kasabad, blanked Narayana E-Techno School 10-0 and DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, outwitted BCM Arya model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar 6-0.

Sukhdev Singh Aulakh, president of Punjab Baseball Association (PBA) inaugurated the tournament.
