Gurleen, Krishav emerge champions in U-19 group of badminton tourney

Gurleen Kaur Dhillon and Krishav Kaplish romped home champions in the boys’ section in the U-19 category during the Ludhiana District Badminton Tournament that concluded at Shastri Hall, near Guru Nanak Stadium, here on Sunday.

In the girls’ group, Gursimrat Kaur Chahal finished as runner-up while the third position was jointly shared by Manjot Kaur and Anupama. In the boys’ section, Raghav Bhatia secured second position, while Aditya Sharma and Arnav Singh Negi shared third position.

Other results (final): Girls U-17 — Gursimrat Kaur Chahal first, Gurleen Kaur Dhillon second, Prabhnoor Kaur Mathura and Sonai third. In the girls’ U-15 category, Amelia Bhakoo was first, Samaira Aggarwal second and Jaanvi and Khushi Tiwari third.

In the girls’ U-13 category, Kaamil Sabharwal came first, Samaira Aggarwal second and Anmolpreet Kaur Chouhan and Maanvi third. In the girls’ U-11 group, Aanya Tiwari stood first, Nitara Sharma second and Sunder Kaur Namdhari and Jagdeep Kaur Maan third.

In the boys’ U-17 category, Aditya Sharma came first, Raghav Bhatia second and Khagesh Chadha and Arnav Singh Negi third. In the boys’ U-15 group, Tanush Prashar came first, Agam Bhalla second and Vihaan Bansal and Khagesh Chadha third.

In the boys’ U-13: Harshbir Singh Dhillon came first, Rabbiquel Anji second and Ryan Singla and Kabir Sahni third. In the boys’ U-11 group, Ryan Singla stood first, Sanay Bhaskar second and Vanshil Gupta and Madhav Jagga third.

In the women’s category, Gursimrat Kaur Chahal stood first, Gurleen Kaur Dhillon second and Aarya Negi and Anupama third. In the men’s category, Nitish Chopra came first, Raghav Bhatia second and Tanush Prashar and Krishav Kaplish third.
